2025 Project Highlights

  • Belle Isle Shed Feasibility

    A crowd favorite structure (as highlighted by David Byrne’s recent visit and Ed Trask’s excellent painting currently residing at Hardywood) - this is an exciting project for us. We were able to investigate existing conditions and analyze the structure to see how this building might work with the Belle Isle master plan. Special thanks to Marvel, Friends of James River Park and the James River Park System for facilitating our work and for being great partners in protecting, preserving and building our park for future generations. Stay tuned!

  • Brown's Island Improvement

    Definitely the highlight of 2025 for us - we are honored to be a part of this important project and to work closely with 3North and Timmons Group to bring these ideas to life. Fun fact: we finished Construction Documents from the EVOLV mobile office (ok, it’s a van) on top of a mountain outside of Telluride. More on that another time…

  • Department Store Repurpose

    Currently in design - we are working closely with Visioneering Studios to convert this former department store into a new home for a growing church. Highlights (aside from navigating a sea of mannequins in the attic to find the original plans) include a large opening in 2nd floor for the auditorium/balcony and two 90-foot clear span trusses. More to come…
